I'm happy to run a <b>real</b> backup program before and aft.. oh wait, there'd be no need to run a real backup program <i>after</i>, because a real backup program would do <i>everything in one go</i>. Remember that there is still a mystery bug that several people (incl. myself) have noticed and posted about on the MyDefrag forum, where the program uses 100% CPU and slows down to a crawl depending on certain circumstances. We're not quite sure what triggers it but if it happens you should probably modify your script with a different defrag mode to see if you can get around it. I found that, bizarrely, running another defragmenter (like <a href="http://www.defraggler.com" rel="nofollow">Defraggler</a>) for five mins on the troublesome drive, then going back to MyDefrag, causes it to run fine again.
